Welan Gum is used in the construction industry primarily to improve the suspension capacity of sand and gravel without increasing the plastic viscosity of concrete during pumping. It significantly improves the water retention of the mortar, reducing surface cracking. Water is not easily absorbed by cement particles, resulting in more complete cement hydration and promoting later strength improvement. When used in mortar, it ensures a uniform distribution of various components, making the mortar homogeneous and stable, and preventing sedimentation, stratification, and bleeding.
