DSTA gum is a new type of microbial polysaccharide with outstanding viscosity regulation properties, outstanding pseudo-plasticity, good compatibility with salts, excellent freeze-thaw stability, excellent emulsification performance, and solid suspension ability. It is a biological fermentation preparation which is green and a new environmentally-friendly industrial additive.

Application of DSTA Gum

After adding Deosen DSTA gum to the concrete, the unique network structure of DSTA gum produces a great adsorption effect on water molecules and a lubrication effect on large solid particles. It will make the concrete mortar has good wrapping performance on the stones, the workability will be improved significantly, and the slurry spreads evenly, which can effectively avoid the segregation and early hardening of the mortar after the concrete is mixed due to the regional difference of sand/stone particle size. After 1 hour, it will have a small loss of expansion and a slump degree, and the pumpability remains good. It will not affect the strength, fluidity, stability, and air contents of the concrete.

Concrete Viscosity Adjustment and Water Retention

After adding DSTA adhesive to concrete, its unique network structure generates a strong adsorption effect on water molecules and a lubricating effect on large solid particles. This improves the concrete mortar's ability to encapsulate aggregates, significantly enhances workability, and ensures uniform paste spread. It effectively prevents segregation and premature hardening of concrete caused by regional differences in sand/aggregate particle size distribution. Furthermore, it results in minimal loss of spread and slump after one hour, good pumpability, and no impact on the concrete's strength, fluidity, stability, or air content.

Water-based Tackifier for Coatings

DSTA adhesive significantly improves the stability of coatings, preventing pigments and fillers from settling and clumping, and water separation, thus avoiding the adverse effects of coating stratification on the "open can effect." The excellent pseudoplasticity of DSTA adhesive reduces viscosity during high shear rates in roller and brush applications, saving labor and reducing labor intensity. After application, the shear force is eliminated, restoring the original viscosity. This prevents the thick film from sagging, dripping when brushed, or splattering when rolled. Simultaneously, the excellent water retention effect delays the rate of water loss from the coating, increasing the area covered in a single coat. Adding DSTA adhesive to coatings significantly improves workability, film leveling, and storage stability.
